NOTIFICATION
The MidAtlantic Region will be conducting nominations for the 2012 election of officers, October 17 - October 31, 2011. Officer elections will be conducted November 7 - 21, 2011. Nominations and voting will be conducted by electronic mail (email).
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
Any region member interested in serving as an officer in 2012 may nominate himself / herself, or may be nominated by another person, by submitting an email message to, or contacting one of the Nominating Committee members listed below. Candidate biographies and additional information concerning the elections will be posted on the Xplor MidAtlantic Region Web site: http://www.xplormidatlantic.org/ElectionInformation.html when available. Such biographies will be posted during the nominating and election periods only.
REGION OFFICER POSITIONS
Mid Atlantic officers are elected by members of the region and the positions to be filled for 2012 are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Association Director. (The Association Director (or ABOD Rep) for the MidAtlantic Region is elected in alternate (odd) years for two-year terms.)

QUALIFICATIONS AND NUMBER OF CANDIDATES
Any Mid Atlantic Region member may run for office - President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, or Association Director - provided he or she, 1) is an Xplor member, 2) is a Mid Atlantic Region member, and 3) has company approval (authorization). Additionally, to be eligible for the Association Director position, candidates must have previously served as a regional officer.
Only one candidate is needed for each position but all qualified candidate names will be placed on the ballot. The term of office for President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer is one year; the term office of for the Association Director is two years. Terms will begin approximately 30 calendar days following the election except for the Association Director which will begin in March 2012.
