This could be caused by a number of things:
Global meeting was 50% up in attendance from 2010. People were “very happy and enthusiastic” to be there.
Lots of energy from attendees, lots of educational interest and certificated tracks were announced at beginning of conference. I completed the DESIGN track. Our group enjoyed the whole event. There were OSCAR statues and photo presentations for everyone…. That went over well and then a contest for funniest photo w/Oscar. Court staffer, Delanta Harrison, won that….he placed Oscar on the floor on its back and had his hands on its chest. He was resuscitating Oscar a la paramedic. He also won a $300 gift from Kodak – anything from their website to that amount. Those photos will be posted by HQ.

We do have a group photo from MAR attendees (missing one guy from National Academies of
Science)…… One of the NAS group, a lady, took lots of photos – hopefully we can get those
for the site.
There were many entertainment events sponsored by an assortment of vendors – one, an outside
steak dinner also had a DJ who played games with attendees, including asking entrants to bring a salt shaker, driver’s license, someone’s top, someone’s pants etc. quickly to win a weekend for two at the resort. One guy actually had his boots taken off, belt loosened, and blue jeans pulled off his legs in order to win. It was hilarious!
There was discussion about bringing back the Ask the Expert sessions early a.m. for those who like to
get up early.
Skip has lost 35 lbs and is looking good……
Paul Abdool is out as Chairman of the Board. Mark Bonacorso is now Chairman. She mentioned board vote was 4/4 and there was a revote and it went 5/3 for Bonocorso.
Many EDA graduates, a few new EDPs.
Some mention of the roadshows…….Skip was putting those off until after this meeting.
